The Cabin

It began as one of the ten original slave dwellings of the Monroe Plantation. Now, through the efforts, ideas, love, sweat and patience of friends and family, you are able to enjoy a small sampling of Southern Louisiana history, cuisine and culture. The Cabin serves local Creole and Cajun cuisine.

My family used to make the drive to the Cabin every year for birthday/ Christmas celebrations. Each visit we all tried something new. Everything is delicious!

Nice charming setting with typical authentic country cajun and Creole food . Out of the way, but worth a visit if in the neighbourhood.
