Walk round the gardens , visit the farm or have a tour of the house. If none of those takes your fancy have a walk round the estate and the great footpaths that surround.
A grand stately home that is well worth a visit. I would recommend a guided tour as it gives good insights into the history of the Dukes of Devonshire and all their connections. Fascinating.
Fabulous house with many artistic treasures, a great garden and park , all steeped in history.
Its hugely impressive go late and avoid the qs. Anout 90 mins to do the house fully and there are laoss of grounds and gardens to explore
Mary Queen of Scots was held at Chatsworth on various occasions between 1569 and 1584. Her lodgings were on the east side of the house where the rooms are still called the Queen of Scots Apartments .
The perfect place for a picnic ! Also, lovely for long walks. Be careful of the cows and sheep the wander freely crossing the road !
Love the house and the beautiful grounds. Visited the house with the Christmas theme 2017 but felt very disappointed, it did not have the wow factor. Over priced and miserable staff on the day.
Worth it. Too much art and fancy rooms. The audio guide is a waste, better sign in any of the guided tours
A beautiful mansion with very broad meadow. You can enter the inside of the mansion, garden and yard, but there's additional fees.
Nice to walk around the ground and see the fountain . The house and garden are not open in the winter season .
Brilliantly decorated for Christmas ! A castle worth a visit
Take a picnic . Take comfortable shoes , you'll be doing a lot of walking around the gardens . Great day out.
Go for Christmas market and book at visit to see Christmas at Chatsworth at same time .. the house is magical then
Skip this during Christmas . They allow so many people that all you can do is shuffle through the hallways.
Fascinating to see another way of life. The staff were excellent. It was beautiful.
Stunning building, stunning grounds and wholly worth a visit.
Love the walk down to the village . Secluded campsite . Don't feed the ducks...
Try staying at the caravan club site next to chatsworth,it has its own private gate into the estate and used to be the houses walled garden ......
