Favorite lobster pound of our trip to MDI, even though it's a decent drive from Bar Harbor . Thurston's has a 2-floor screened-in dining area right on the water! And even a small bar with local brews .

Beautiful views , friendly staff , good food, & good drinks! A little on the outskirts of the town but well worth the drive! Make sure to grab an Old Soaker Root Beer - a Bar Harbor original & favorite!

A visit to Acadia would be incomplete without Thurstons. The only way it gets any fresher is if they put it on your plate from the boat. Oh wait, they do. Snag a Lobster Ale as the perfect complement.

Fantastic place, the lobster is great but the real winners are the lobster dip , lobster BLT and for dessert go with the blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream . (The ice creams the better of the two)

Get here early to dodge the crowds. Don't miss the full bar outside. Lobster and steamer mea FTW. Tip your staff .

Arrive between 5-6 pm to avoid huge lines . Upstairs has nicest views and breezy . Get the soft shell if they have them. The steamers are great too.

Skip the lobster roll and get the lobster BLT . It's only $.50 more expensive , but bigger plus bacon . Also, if not ordering a whole lobster , you can bypass the line and order at the bar .

One of the best lobster pounds on the island . I think the food aside from the whole lobsters are better at Beals, but the ambiance here can't be beat.

Excellent lobster roll . Bun is toasted with butter to give it the right flavor & consistency. Just a touch of mayo on a generous serving of perfectly prepared lobster .

You pay extra for the view . We passed many places with better prices on the way there. The view is really pretty though and the lobster did not disappoint, just is pricey

When finished eating your lobster , wash your hands in the bathroom where there is hot water. No hot water at the sink in the dining area.

Best lobster place around. Skip the desserts-- not very good. Stick w/ seafood .
