Great view of James Island , and lots of cool logs for great photography . If you keep walking along the beach until you reach Hole in the Wall , you can get to some really cool tidepool places.

Pictures come out amazing here thanks to James Island , sea-stacks, the driftwood that used to be old growth trees , and of course the beautiful Pacific Ocean

The water can be really dangerous here. It's very cold and the waves can bring in huge pieces of wood. Basically trees being thrown around in the tide. It's beautiful but I wouldn't swim here.

I miss living so close this picture perfect beach ! It's great if you have small children because it's only a tiny one minute walk from the parking lot .

My eldest son absolutely loves playing on the driftwood while I beach comb. There's all kinds of treasures to find.

One of my favorite beaches in Olympia National Park . Love the dead driftwood trees here. The whole tree is driftwood .

If the parking lot is full there's also overflow parking to the left as you pull in.

Beautiful rocks and driftwood . Great place to watch bald eagles certain times of year. Come back in the evening and build a giant bonfire

Worth a visit if you're in the area. Desolate and strange and beautiful.
