Built by Dr. Haller Nutt who died in 1864 before the house was completely finished. The doctor and his wife, Julia's spirits are said to still roam here. Dr. Nutt has been seen in the garden .
$12 a ticket, tours run pretty frequently. Gorgeous pre-Civil War mansion. Largest octagonal house in the US. Definitely worth a visit!
