Mt Flume & Mt Liberty are not for beginners - newbies to hiking , take the Liberty Spring Trail and avoid Mt Flume unless you're prepared to summit both mountains . The views are worth it though.

The old mans face fell off in 2003. If you go it’s just a short walk down a trail to observe the mountain face were it was. There is a very picturesque lake at the end of the trail. - The Traveler

A moderate hike to the summit, with some fairly steep parts. Anyone can do this 1.5 mile climb with a few breaks and some water. Early October is the best time. Smells like Christmas at the top! - Logan Leasure
