Forget supermarkets claiming to have fresh food - you gotta shop at Fyshwick markets if you want TRULY fresh fruit & veggies . Plus great atmosphere - in place to be on Saturday morning.
Open air market with lots of choices between product, baked goods and coffee
During truffle season (June-August) you can buy black truffles at the grocers here around $2.50 per gram
Feel bright due to the layout setting, nice bakery and it's brioche and of course 'the plonk'
The best Nut Shoppe in Canberra which also has a huge range of middle-eastern food.
Try shops after 4:30pm on Sunday as great bargains to be had on baked items , flowers , meat and deli items as markets switch to retail on Monday to Wednesday so they need offload all perishable goods.
Free parking . Come early to get into the main lot
