Delia's is a small chain that has grown for one simple reason: they make darn good tamales . They offer many varieties (try the chicken and cheese ), and they are cheap and filling. They also ship them!
Yeah, they're the best around, but they're pricey . And: at the holidays, it's crazy. So, to avoid the problem I just experienced, call the day before to reconfirm and avoid a messed up order.
I don't live in the valley so I always take tamales to go. You can save them for later. I prefer the chicken and cheese tamales .
