Beautiful views , don't hire a guide. 1 hour 30min trail with beautiful views of the volcano and the lakes . Also do see the 400 year old tree . Entry to the park is 15USD per person.
You don't get to see the crater like in other volcanoes , but the hiking trails are very nice and give you a great view of the volcano . Try going on a clear day.
Long hikes in a beautiful park . There so much to see! $15/person for 4 different hikes .
Amazing treks through the rainforest. You get up close to spider monkeys, wild pigs , agoutis and toucans.
Amazing sites. The paths are easy to hike . Bring bug spray for mosquitoes
The 1968 trail is much better. Better amenities , trail has better views , and better maintained. Don’t accidentally walk straight down the road to the mirador, you can just drive to that part.
Forest is fine. The road to it is not - unpaved dirt and holes. Godforbid if ever get caught here in the rain - not sure if possible to get out. Park entrance fee is $10 per person for non-costaricans
Is a beautiful mountain , most of the time covered in steam because is an active volcano
You can stop here for a day, on your trip to the Golden Coast.
Definitely worth the drive from Playa Flamingo! Beautiful!
Imponente!
Go to the hot springs at night!
Завтраки , шикарные ...
Maravilloso lugar..!!
Zapatos cómodos, binoculares , agua y mucho respeto por la madre naturaleza
Si tienes suerte, veras el cráter. Normalmente hay mucha neblina
Caminar por los senderos
Muy lindo lugar recomendado
Precioso !!
We don’t recommend driving at night because you’ll miss the scenery and will also have trouble distinguishing signs and the road’s painted lines. The most active volcano in Costa Rica. - Car Rental Costa Rica
Be prepared for a hike - getting back up from the waterfall is tiring but it's worth it to see an amazing waterfall. The water is cold and the rocks are slippery, water shoes help. - Lauren Oliver Green
Beautifully maintained park with a great view of the volcano - Kyla Applegate
Really good hot springs. Had a great time. Highly recommended spot for couples. - Balachandar Duraiswamy
Our favorite trail in the area. Well maintained and good amenities too. Get a smoothie after your hike at the lookout cafe. - Joey Carmello
