sit in front of Kai Wakapai with a beer . eat dinner at Francesca 's Kitchen, catch a movie at the Cinema Paradiso with homemade cookies during intermission. All makes for a great day in Wanaka.

Beautiful calm lake . Crystal clear water and contrasting mountains in the background. Definitely worth a stop. The lone tree was a bit disappointing to see, but the pictures are cool.

Absolutely breath taking destination. Set nestled among the southern alps, this superb lake wont disappoint. Crystal clear waters , spectacular views . Ideal for winter and summer outdoor sports .

The lakes are freezing cold but great to look at and if you don't mind the old go for a swim .
