La Rotonde (the rotunda in English) is the most central and maybe the most popular spot of Aix! Its fountain , though built in the 1800s, is still a major attraction and stays beautiful as years go by!

8pm: Apértifs at the chic , funky, cocktail-laden La Rotonde (it's also the name of a bar at 20 Place Jeanne-d'Arc  ; (0442 916170; larotonde-aix.com).

Great place to sit for a coffee and view the fountain .

If you want a great picture, take a picture early in the morning or late at night to avoid the cars.
