What a find on Catalina. Grilled Octopus was some of the most tender I've ever had, and the sauce was amazing. Lobster Cobb salad was very filling. Great open windows to enjoy the harbor atmosphere.

The Buffalo burger is great, I'd also recommend getting one of the local wines grown on the Island . Pricey but a great dining experience. If they're full you can eat at the bar ...

Get the buffalo burger (medium... It comes out medium rare) and substitute the butternut squash soup instead of the fries . Unbelievable!!

The poached shrimp salad is very plain and not worth ordering. Go for the mussels - the are delicious.

Nice place but no wi-fi. Seemed a little put off that I simply wanted to have a coffee at the bar and do some work.

They say no reservations but the concierge at the pavillion hotel can make you a reservation which you'd want to have on a busy summer weekend.

Ricardo the manager is the best. He is a great host. Ask about the filet!

Poor customer service. On the last night of our anniversary weekend (tonight) we chose Avalon Grille for its high rating. The food may be amazing, but we left due to poor service and hospitality .

Overpriced and over cooked seafood . Boring ass menu for what you are paying... martinis are decent and help get the swill food down at least.
