The chili was good and hot, salad bar has a nice selection and tastes fresh as home made . Sweet tea was a hit. The hot wings and fries were the bomb. Nice place. The kids enjoyed their food & played 2
Food is decent here, and wouldn’t mind stopping by again on a road trip. This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside! If you like train themed restaurants , then this is your place!
The boxcar runs like a well-oiled machine. By that I mean most everything is fried - but good, the homemade chips are worth a shot.
Breakfast buffet on weekends is awesome!
Thursday is 45 cent wing night! Try the Mexican wings if you like hot stuff !

Food mediocre at best. Nothing really jumps of menu. Salad bar had a nice selection , and it came with the $20 for 2 prime rib dinners ...au jus was good...service ok.
