Ooty Lake is an artificial lake . The artificial lake was formed by the mountain streams flowing down Ooty valley. This lake stretches for about 2.75 km, in an irregular ‘L’ shape.

Did you know that in peak season, this place takes in as much as 100,000 visitors per day? So pls, cut some slack to the employees, maintain queues and be human to them, please.

No more a must try boating. You will be just waiting to come out of the boat because of its foul smell.

Busy lake in the town . Many shops and activities for all. There are some fine white horses.

You can rent a boat for 30 minutes (longer is not really needed) for 200 Rupees, you will get a refund of 100 Rupees if you are back on time.

Go earlier to have a tense free boating.
