First: get a reservation . If you don't, get there before 1 PM and try to get a seat at the bar . All drinks are great but the caipiroska mediterranea is a must. Ask for the dulce de leche cheesecake .

The shrimp empanadas are excellent, as are the shrimp w/curried potatoes , octopus , cheese & onion tart , and lime curd tart . We all loved our food. The owners, especially Martín, are very attentive.

The food is delicious! For desert I had the "duraznos asados con mascarpone " (grilled peaches with mascarpone ) and they were put of this world!

The Cazuela de Corvino was an odd dish, more like a soup , not stew-y like other S. Am. cazuelas. Go for the grilled fish of the day instead. Chipirones are great. Well-stocked, beautiful bar , wines .

Came to Jose Ignacio from Punta del Este and it immediately started raining. Luckily La Huella was here to give us shelter, unbelievably fast service , and some of the best food we've ever eaten.

Simple and very charming place in the beach . Great food (the entrecort was delicious), good service (not so good if crowded ). A bit far from most hotels but definetly worth the trip!

The local grappa (Bernardi?) is lovely and lively ...deep notes of raisin that linger on the tongue and leave a delightful bouquet in the nose.

My grilled-fish catch-of-the-day and minipizza were perfect but,despite the glowing reviews,all else was mediocre at best;Fries lamentable,milanessa tough and not thin enough&volcada unappetizing.

Excelente la tarta de cebollas al vino tinto con queso de cabra , la pizza de choclo rica. El volcán de chocolate riquiiiisimo. Lo malo es la cantidad de gente que entra y sale constantemente.
