The Laura Cowels trail is no joke, but it's worth it to get that highpoint!
Take the Quad lift and then take the Toll road half way down - an extremely beautiful and very pleasant ride with a trail weaving between the trees .
Excellent hike. Not too many people and everyone we did meet were friendly. Heck of a view! And you see the peak from everywhere. - Aysha
About 17 mi east of Burlington and 22 mi NW of Montpelier. A classic ascent of a rocky ridge to the highest peak in Vermont. Special attractions: Rare alpine plants & flowers magnificent summit views. - Trails.com
Moderate hike. It is shady and woodsy. Some flat parts. Winding. You really know you’re in the forest. - Yvette Mason
Lots of trees down. Impassable 1/2 mile to right & about 2 miles to left. - Ted
I'm 260lbs. I did this hike all the way up to the summit and got the most amazing view. However, if you're heavy or new to hiking it will be hell coming down after being wiped going up. - Hank Yeomans
Fresh ice cream! The flavor graveyard up the hill is entertaining too. - Kathryn VanderWyk
My favorite spot in the Stowe area! They've got cider slushies, ciders, cider donuts, jams, a beautiful and fun place to stop by. - Kate Furman
Wonderful! Is the first word comes to mind. The gondola ride up, the cocktails, the food, the view! Such a fun casual place to go. Loved it!! I just want to go back during wintertime. 👍🏼👌🏼 - Chris Davis
