The beach is quite narrow at high tide, but still enough room to walk along past people sitting, especially if they're sat in the shade of the trees along the edge!
The area between Buderim Street, north to Gothic Parade is a dog beach - dogs are allowed off leash at all times. The next bit north to Moondara Drive is off-leash after 4pm

Beautiful beach, free swimming pool, very interactive water-play and several playgrounds near-by. What else does a kid need? This is probably the best spot in Sunshine Coast. - Hoang Pham
