Good local produce - lamb , beef , chicken and a good bar for pre dinner drinks. Swanky cosy ambience with upstairs private dinning.
Had an amazing experience here. Staff were sensational. All the food was delicious. There was a mix up with our order but they graciously rectified it which made for an even better night.
An amazing place. Everything is tasty and carefully designed - like this ice cream for example. Highly recommended, for both fresh fish and meat!
Great restaurant , ambience and food! The lamb shoulder is a great pick between two- falls off the bone. Best accompanied by some duck fat potatoes , green beans and an Otago wine or Queestown beer !
The oysters were excellent and the venison was insanely delicious. The mashed sweet potatoes under the meat were the best I've had. Fantastic service as well .
The quinoa kale salad and cheesy cauliflower sides were fantastic. The salmon was also superb. Great place for an upscale meal with tasty food.
Forget downstairs. Belly up to the bar upstairs if solo or gather round the cozy fireplace no one knows about.
There's a second bar upstairs with a cozy fireplace and you can have dinner up there too with just a walk-in/no reservation scenario.
Fabulous food. Fabulous wine . Fabulous service. Definitely go for meat for your main. The Rabbit with Risotto starter is out of this world!
The snapper oven baked is to die for. The ribeye is also very good. Try the Spanish style white baits too!
Slow roasted (5 hours) shoulder of lamb with mint jelly , gravy and creamy mushroom sauce . Outstanding.
It's really good place!. Lamb is recommended. Good selection of vines. You should try New Zealand's vine!.
If you're looking for a hearty meal after a hard day on the slopes I recommend the lamb shoulder to share for two. It'll make all your hunger pains disappear!
Be sure to book a private room upstairs.
Can't go wrong with the bone-in ribeye . Wahike Hay Paddock Syrah is a good deal @ $69.
Paté for starters, and lamb shoulder for two was great. No room for dessert .
The lamb shoulder for two could actually feed four. That with a few starters and some more sides just may do the trick.
Highly recommend the chateaubriane to share. Casoulet is also brilliant. Entre of devil kidney is killer. Seafood chowder is great
Though lunch might come across as good value , the steak was of mediocre standard. It's a small serving so one might start to feel hungry soon.
The lamb shoulder is to die for. They also have a terrific wine list .
Surveyor Thompson Pinot Noir is a great drop.
Thai beef salad for lunch is exceptional. Risotto is awesome too.
lamb shoulder for two. dirty martini . winning combo.
good for a big group, people say the service can be bad, but that wasn't our experience at all
Just perfect
Not bad, we had the lunch special - it was good but I needed another meal afterwards
The new summer cocktail menu is to die for.
Tomato daiquiri is delicious!!
venison tartare !!!
Beautiful location and restaurant .
Served by the Foursquare mayor, no less.
The food is overated, average service, Captians last night was much better
Awfully slow service.
Overpriced indeed
The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict is to die for!!! They also do a great $10 breakfast - Amanda Kennedy
Angus T-bone ... yummy 😋! Great place for a meaty dinner, with a good wine selection. Friendly staff - Bianca
Try the flame grilled pork ribs. Be hungry. This is an awesome dish. Try the Boerwors starter - not the average sausage! - Henk Roodt
The menu consists of chocolates (in milk, dark, white and sugar free varieties), irresistible ice cream, delicious desserts such as churros, crepes, waffles, cakes, fondue and hot chocolate. - Anantara Vacation Club
All the produce is locally sourced, and everything--particularly venison and lamb--is prepared to perfection with bold, local flavors. Be sure to make a reservation far in advance. - The Daily Sip
Great place to take a walk and enjoy the lake and mountain view. You can swim at the lakeside too. - Ji Hye Ohn
