There's 5 people at the counter on a Tuesday afternoon. This is the best-staffed DMV I've been to. Way faster than the one in Cary off of Buck Jones.
The employees here at by far the friendliest and most helpful of any of the other ones I have ever used.
No food/drink. Once you returned your license plates here, you would receive a proof of plate surrender (Form FS20).
Don't forget to bring at least $5 cash for a title.
I went around 3 pm and had an awesomely pleasant experience ! I guess they've changed.
It's a necessary evil.
Today there was not a line , did not nave to wait
Long line that doesn't move. At least at other DMVS I get to sit down.
The waits are typical (get here 15 min before they open if you wanna be in and out). The staff is pleasant and helpful. Just be nice to them, OK? - glenn goldman
