You haven’t been in Lucca if you haven’t tried a buccellato. Taddeucci has the best, and the original ones, since 1881.
The best 'buccellato' in town (typical cake from Lucca). And very good coffe and pastries as well .

Awesome view over Lucca! Entrance is 4€ per person. The spot on the roof is very small and crowded so that you won’t stay very long up there. But still worth to go and enjoy the view - Jay Ruether
