It eventually outgrew the location, which had a lunch counter and seating for 50 people. They moved to this location on 8th Street in 1970.
El Charro Cafe was opened in 1949 and originally located on 4th Ave in Yuma, Arizona by Antonio and Dolores Gutierrez.
The food was plentiful and good. When in Yuma again we will most definitely stop in.
Order the guacamole fresco , not the guacamole dip ! Dip is like supermarket stuff; fresco is flavorful and chunky.

Use their salsa on everything! Not spicy at all, adds flavor even slightly watered down.

Had grilled fish and grilled tacos and they were delicious. The chips and salsa are also great and so are the beans but I wish they were much more warm. - Kristine Baumann
