Efficient and pleasant. Just make sure to go straight to the main deck if you want a booth and table. They let pedestrians on first and travelers with cars get stuck with the seats without a view .
Love the advanced reservation option and round trip ticketing! Dog friendly vessel too
BC ferries could learn about hospitality and friendliness and good simple food value from these guys
This place is a lucrative operation. If you're going to Victoria from Seattle, look up schedules and fares first! I suggest taking the WSF route that lands in Sydney BC via the San Juans.
We got here early because people warned us that on a summer weekend it would be busy. We got to the dock at 5:30 (an hour before they open) and we were the only ones there until after 6:00.
Be ready to leave your car. Unlike other ferries you're not allowed on the car deck while sailing .
People say the chowder is Ivar’s . I’m not so sure.
Get in line early to snag a table. Diner has great clam chowder if you're hungry.
Go on the Coho (last of the Black Ball line ) & stand at Fire Station #13 during rough water - least amount of swaying in that spot!!
Great ferry service
The view ! Wow!
Get there early to have your pick of tables.
Headed to Victoria BC!!
two 4 one passenger tickets. Season begins again May 2011? today until 4pm Only!!
Ask about their Fall & Winter travel packages...
Try the Ivar 's Clam Chowder !
Make sure you know this is for passengers ONLY!! We drove 5 hours to find we had registered our vehicle for nothing. Refund was only 80%. :(
In summer there's extra sailings so you can go to Pt Angeles for the day and maybe see Orcas on the trip too - glenn letham
There is no beach glass (if you collect it) but there is a lot of driftwood - Jane Doe
A great place to have a coffee and just enjoy some great live music and watch the world go by :-) - John Passos
Haven't had burgers yet, but scrambled eggs with crab meat, coconut prawns, fish and chips are fabulous! Generous portions too - Karla Dodson
