Buying traditional tibits, so crowded even during non-CNY season. Replenishing fragrant Roasted Nan Gua Zi (de-shelled & roasted pumpkin seeds ) & the crispy mini popiah (spicy version nicer).
Crowd started 1 month before CNY, even on weekdays. My purchaser says this shop item is more-value-for-money than another bigger shop at The Bencoolen which has a slightly easier carpark.
25 Jan 2016: Buying dried food goodies for CNY. Simple-looking dried food easily costs S$50 to S$70 per pack, except for the tibits. Nonetheless, its still rather crowded on a Monday afternoon.
Dried ingredients for CNY dishes + CNY tibits cost a few hundred dollars !!! Still so crowded on weekdays @.@
