Famous for the Penang white curry mee (with fish ball&squid) and wantan mee (with non-fried & fried wantan). The Apom opposite road also nice, it's the small and crunchy at the side (rm0.50/pc).

Brought my dog in stroller. Lots of varieties of local food. Satay , char kuay teow, duck kuay teow soup , apom, curry mee , wantan mee etc. there r also cafes and bistro along the road .

Wantan noodles . Standard bowl is MYR 6. The bigger bowl of MYR 7.50 is just more noodles — suitable for carb lovers. Served with wantans, sliced BBQ pork & some veges

The Wan Tan Mee and Curry Mee are really delicious! Price are standard Penang hawker food price. Will definitely come back for it!

Chulia street food . Many tourists here. Wan tan mee here is nice, long queue though. As a street for food, be ready to sweat! (Side note: I spiralled today to FK and ZS, due to a small matter on egg ).

Just round the corner at Carnavon Street is the best char kuih kar!! Crispy on the outside and v flavourful. Deep wok-hei! Must try!

Lobak and tau Kua (tofu fried) is nice. The tau kau is soft on the inside.. lightly crispy on the outside. Lobak is not overcooked

Apom (Indian pancake ) is very light. Aromatic & sweet. One is not enough. 60-cents each

The curry mee is nice and taste special. I think only can find this taste in Penang. The fish ball is yummy too.

There are 2 Wan Tan Mee stalls here. The lady with the white hair is the more popular one but I don't really like it. Try the old couple's stall, near the Satay stand. Tastes so much better!

Curry Mee without pork 's blood. In which universe is that ok?! The Wan Tan Mee however, is straight up old skool Penang style . Recommended. And please, whatever you do, stay away from the Lobak.

Hokkien mee tasted just like ibumie harmee. According to locals, this "lubang" is best for wan than mee and curry mee . Going to try wan than mee tonight, and grape juice .

Wantan mee seems to be the most popular one over here and it's quite nice. Noodle itself is nice however the roasted pork and wantan are at best, average. The best food here is actually the curry mee .

Curry mee is indeed the best in Penang. Wan tan mee - you can give it a miss unless you like it soya sauce drenched noodles . Fried kway teow is pretty good too.

Kuey teow thng uncle was all smiley face and friendly . It just tasted so-so imo. But 7 fish balls (no other meat) for RM4 only!

Char Kuey Tiao is slow but not bad. I like it with duck egg ????
