VERY beautiful beach both day and night. Our hotel was right on the beach we really really enjoyed it. Neat little town as well for shopping, eating etc..... GOOD!! ????????

Me & my girl Chelsa got engaged here on Jan 1, 2013. The exact spot is: 10.295051, -85.84893 (about as far south as you can get on a bike w/out hitting rocks). Night time bike ride = recommended!

One of the most developed beaches on the pacific side of Costa Rica. At low tide walk to playa longosta from tamarindo. Eat at 'El B' and stay at Cabinas Mariellos. Great place to learn how to surf .

This is a clean , lovely beach . Make sure to buy a baby coconut from one of the passing vendors. After you drink the cool coconut water , they will break it open for you so you can eat the meat inside.

Great place for surfing , relaxing and partying. Check out Blue Trailz, great place to stay and they have a good selection of boards for rent!

Great place to learn to surf . Bruised and sore but had a great day. Small hit on the beach offers $35 each for 1.5 hour lessons and you get to keep the board for the day.

The best place to learn how to surf , hands down. Sandy bottom, no rocks. Take lessons at Witch 's Rock. I miss this beach .

If you like white people and American food , Tamarindo is the place for you. If that's not your thing, head north to Playa Grande, or Brasilito .

Lots of options for surfing schools! Great prices to rent a board. $8/ hr if you walk towards the gators !

Nice beach but more commercial and touristy than Brasilito or Playa Conchal or Potrero

Honestly, the best place to learn to surf . Lots of shallow shore-line to walk out (instead of paddling ) and 3' waves to practice on. Go to 'Secret Spot' for lessons. Those guys are awesome!

El mejor atardecer que he visto, sin duda su mayor atractivo. Te recomiendo si vas en grupo disfrutar este solemne momento puedes hacer un Puck Nick playero ya que es un momento espiritual.

Deliciosisimo cafe en la playa ... Se llama coffee and waffles .... Mi cafe tenía peanut butter y el otro Nutela . ... Cafe en la playa , una de esas pequeñas grandes delicias de la vida!!!

Sin duda, de las playas de Costa Rica (al menos de las que pude conocer) es la que tiene el atardecer mas hermoso, no te lo puedes perder.

Tomen clases de surf y el Kayak a la isla capitán con guías locales ! Les darán las mejores recomendaciones !

Si quiere una playa con mucha gente ésta es una opción.. muy concurrida , voy jalando para la zona de 27 de abril y Pargos . Muchas joyitas de playas por allá casi desiertas ..
