Amazing stay. Fireplace with bar in the main lobby is incredible, with the barman a very friendly and personable man. The restaurant has fantastic homemade pasta . Definitely stay 4 more than 1 night.

Amazingly beautiful Pousada. Like sleeping in a museum . Personal is super friendly and charming. Lovely restaurant . Take the red wine Castello D'alba from Douro, wine with body.
Specialties include salt cod with earthy cornmeal bread crumbs , and the fancifully named 'bacon from heaven,' a rich egg-yolk custard laced with sweet pumpkin , ground almonds , and fragrant cinnamon .
