Best dog park I've seen - anywhere - with lots of beach for the dogs to run on and swim along, beautiful wooded paths. Told to keep an eye out for huge snapping turtles in the creek, none spotted.

This is an amazing dog park . I highly recommend visiting if you have a dog or like dogs and live in the Twin Cities . Plenty of trails and access to the river .

I've been to a lot of dog parks , but this one became my new favorite today! Its a labrador's paradise! My dog ran, swam, and absolutely had a blast!! Its beautiful, wooded, and right on the river .

The best dog park ever. Hands down. It is a nice amount of walking. But worth it since the dogs can take a nice swim .

Great off leash park with access to the river . Dogs love it. In a hot day it's probably 10 degrees cooler because of the trees .

If you haven't spotted it yet, look for the big grey owl that's been hanging out in the tree just above the chimney !

Be sure to take the back paths; they are beautiful and a little more isolated for those pooches that need to run away from other dogs.

Trees to pee on, sand to run, and water to swim .. what's not to love?! Bring quarters if you can't get parking in the lot. Bring bags & go to the bathroom before. No restrooms .

Be on the lookout for the Barred Owl that lives in the park . Check in the big tree behind the chimney , that's his usual hangout.

Bring quarters for parking on the road off 54th or the lot by the off leash area entrance had a paybox that takes bills, creditcards and change .75/hr

Watch out for the crazy weed overgrowth on the back nine (SW quadrant). It stings and itches like hell. Don't cut though the weeds, take a different route.

Definitely need Frontline & the vaccination to protect your puppy against lyme disease! I found 13 ticks on my little puppy after a visit.

It's hard to believe that the city of Minneapolis has dedicated this park land to dogs! Tons of space for your pooch to run (not to mention a beautiful walk for their owners).

Go hiking in the woods, climb trees , and watch the pretty falls :-)
