Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Bass Drum. Often touted as the “World’s Biggest Drum,” it’s been a BIG (bass) Purdue football tradition since 1921.
The Boliermakers have played here since 1924! Two Purdue staffers created the Prescription Athletic Turf System (PAT), which keeps the field playable in harsh conditions.
This stadium opened in 1924 with a seating capacity of 13,500 and standing room for an additional 5,000 people.
Good food good people and good entertainment, even if Purdue is losing 17-10 against Iowa! It is also homecoming so I was on the field for most of the game until my back started spasming out!
You can get very close to the players; that's cool! When you're used to Beaver Stadium , all you can say about Ross-Ade Stadium is: "What a cute little place to play football ."
Every time Purdue scores any points, that annoying Choo-Choo Train blows it's whistle. Fun fact: No lack of Choo-Choo when playing the Hawkeyes. In any event , go Hawks!
Make sure to wear black and gold when you cheer for the Boilermakers! The 2011-12 season kicks off at noon on Sept. 3.
Home of the Boilermakers and Cradle of Quarterbacks!
Come watch your team try to defeat the Purdue Boilermakers in devastating choo-choo train conditions!
Can't believe how cheap tickets to games are here. Not a bad venue at all, Food could be better, got the smallest nachos ever. Almost like a high school game.
As a Golden Gopher this is my home game.
On homecoming weekend, watch the alumni band march to the field . It's a hair raising experience.
Still miss tailgating on those crisp fall Saturdays. My home.
Do it to it Bucky.
