The Black Beach near the village of Vík is the southernmost part of Iceland, located of the main ring road around the island, around 180 km (110 mi) by road southeast of Reykjavík.

The rock wall formations along the edge of the beach are amazing.
If you are near Vik, check out the black sand beach , it is beautiful+ there are puffins :-)

Rétt austan við Vík stendur Hjörleifshöfði. Þar er gaman að labba upp. Auðveld ganga með miklu útsýni yfir jökla, Vestmannaeyjar ofl. Höfðin á sér skemmtilega sögu.
