What a great museum . The permanent exhibit was great, but the temporary exhibit on Red and cochineal was remarkable. A must stop when in Santa Fe
This seems like a great place to smoke a bit and spend some hours getting lost in the maze-like girard gallery collection of thousands of small objects from around the world.
Bring your camera . Photos (without flash) are now permitted! And your wallet (gift store is a bit pricey ). NM residents enter museum free of charge. Very cool museum . Similar to Tinkertown Museum in S
Wonder pieces of folk art . Especially the huge Mexican village exhibit . Buy the New Mexico museum pass for entry into several museums . Worth the $25.
What an odd hodgepodge and cluster of a museum , you can spend hours here and learn somethings and waste a lot of time . Kind of like the visual personification of the internet.
One of my fave museums in Santa Fe. The current Japanese kite exhibit is fantastic. Great museum for kids.
Great museum with interesting, colorful and fun exhibits ! Good for youngsters and young at heart!
Amazing museum with an eclectic mix of stuff from all over the world.
The art is great. The best would be the miniatures.
Give yourself a LOT of time to see all of the wonderful things Alexander Girard collected during his lifetime.
Cochineal exhibit is wonderful, informative & interesting.
One of the best folk art collections I have ever seen. Everything from metal trinkets to West African store signs
Collections of folk art from around the world!
Do you like dollhouses? This spot is heaven.
Special Japanese kite exhibit
Make sure you go to the museum stores.
Maybe I went when the exhibits just weren't good, but I was really disappointed.
