Hot Water Beach New Zealand
Be sure to show within 2 hours either side of low tide . We did not, but still got to dig a small foot pool. Look for the rocks for the best spot ;).
Great place to grab something to eat at the parking lot while you wait for 2 or 1:30 before the low tide . After that just rent a spade and start digging. Its all about locación, not depth.
Make sure you bring a shovel, towels, a couple of able bodied adventure seeking folks. Look for the stream of boiling water, then dig a hole in the sand near it (mix the hot and cold water for bliss)
Unfortunately a bit crowded during low tide but worth checking out! Careful, the hot springs are very hot in places.
Lots of good fun for everyone. When you find a really hot spot, beware... It will burn you.
Come 2 hours before or after low tide . Otherwise, it’ll be just another beautiful beach .
Interesting nature activity but lots of people around there. Be there early!
Check the tide tables before going. The best time is to arrive 2 hours before low ride
Make sure to go during low tide ! Coooool experience.
Natural hot water spa by the beach ????????
Come here early!! Dig your hole before the crowds arrive :)
Be careful it's really hot! Make the right mix between hot water and sea water.
Crazy crowded . Definitely be there during low tide . No point otherwise.
Hot water hole is between the rock and the cliffs
Make sure you get at the beach during the low tide .
Slightly touristy and crowded in the hot water area.
Some spot may get really hot ... Try to dig somewhere around that spot
Gets very busy in the summer but try the evening/ late night high tide instead!
Sure lots of tourists but too hot to miss
Ouch! Got stung by some nasty sand-laden critter. The view is nice but due to high waves we couldn't even enjoy the hot water.
Overrated beach and the hot water digging has to many tourist , i was dissapointed
Should check first the low tide
