Take a kayak tour (i.e. San Juan Islands Kayak Tour ) out of the harbor ! A fun activity that is a good workout but not TOO strenuous, and you may even see orca whales if you're lucky!

Grab a bite at the Cask and Schooner Public House. Not the over priced tourist trap you'd imagine it to be. Try the homemade ginger ale and the fish and chips !

If u are from a small town the prices are great and so is the food... As long as you aren't snooty and impatient u will love it. Lol.

Bring cash to Friday Harbor Ice Cream company. Otherwise they get cranky. No shakes if there are more customers than servers, nit plan on having a shake.

Bring food! The grocery store is a huge ripoff. The owners of King's market also own another grocery store down the road with cheaper food so don't get tricked!

Go check out Lime Kiln park on the west side of the island ! So beautiful in the summer and if you're lucky you will see the whales !

Take the ferry boat from Anacortes to get here. This is an excellent small town and the view is amazing.

Come during the summer.

If you meet locals in town , don't tell them you came in a boat. They don't like that.

Beautiful place. Flying in from Seattle and taking the ferry back to Anacortes is a nice combination for a trip.

It is even better when you are in a private boat

Don't expect to find Diet Coke at any of the restaurants . It's all Pepsi on this island .

If you are from a big city then you will find the restaurants mediocre and overpriced.

Very limited menu and food did not taste that good. Think chef tries too hard to be different.
