More mountain climbing than hiking here -- except on the flat railroad bed that runs along the river -- so you are in for a real workout. Beware: there's always one more hill before the parking lot .

Love the natural beauty by the river but unfortunately the Afton Alps ski slope can easily ruin the experience with obnoxious announcements and pop music from their p.a. system. Bad for the wildlife ?

The camper cabins are AWESOME especially in the winter :) But the top bunk is about a foot too low, so if sleeping on the bottom, watch your head :-/

Several well-maintained trails over varied terrain: hills , streams, forest . River views + access. Beautiful overlooks. Ample parking .

The yurts are amazing...but book up almost a year in advance for weekends so reserve one now :)
