No.1 Italian restaurant in Beijing , the olive oil ,the vinegar，the cheese ，the bread ，the fillet ...super good ！

Located in a buzzing hutong vegetable market , best italian food , best interior and ambience in town . Small but everything is almost perfectly done. Good for dinner .

There are no bad choices on the menu. Mercante would be one of the best Italian places in NY said my Italian friend from NY whose extended family operates several restaurants in NY.

A little piece of northern Italy just got very lost in the form of this rustic trattoria, a perfect fit for old hutongs. Freshly made tortellini is the order of the day.

Every dish was delicious! We especially loved the homemade pasta and Parma ham with parmigiana .

Fresh ingredients - try their beef fillet , potatoe & pork belly tortelli , and their second to last dessert on the menu (coffee & rum flavored ice cream with bread ) simply amazing!

The staff , the quaintness , location and above all good is fabulous. Recommend to any westerner and to top it off its relatively priced

Overall good food. The pumpkin & chutney ravioli are succulent! My rare steak had burnt taste though... And we were not served bread even if we ordered the same as the table near us...

Il Mercante has the best panna cotta in Beijing. This tasty treat is served with a tart raspberry and basalmic vinegar sauce . Wow.

this place is overrated. food wasn't fresh, seemed like a lot of food was pre-prepared frozen or came out of a jar. service was awful and the ambiance wasn't anything special, aircon wasn't working.
