This is by far the best transit option in the capital district. Clean facility and very easy to get to and from. Try to arrange a ride though, the cab prices are ridiculous.

The station is nice and the coffee beanery has a decent selection of sandwiches , yoghurts , muffins etc for the long train journey north.

Great cafe Across the street. This station is a true hub for train travel. Needs some expanding service. .. high speed could serve here easily.

This is usually ranked among the top 10 busiest stations in the Amtrak system. All trains go to & from Penn Station except the Boston portions of the Lake Shore Limited, trains 448 and 449.

Had a great experience there. Jose Sosa was great in helping us get to New York before our scheduled trains . He went above and beyond in helping us with the NJ Transit as well . Everyone was very nice.

The Lake Shore Limited. West bound the 49 of NYC and the 449 of Boston join as one on to Chicago, IL. East bound the 48 separates here ending at NYC and the 448 ends at Boston.

Easy station to get in and out of with access up and down the Hudson River . Very helpful staff .

When headed to NYC, grab a seat on the right side of the train to enjoy great views of the Hudson River ! Very pretty!

Arrive early and stand in a semi-pointless and annoying line - but it’s the only way to guarantee a seat back to NYC. Look for trains that originate here.. otherwise you’ll be waiting a loooong time.

Avoid the taxis - cash only and they'll double and triple the fares with shared rides - ripoff city !

Enterprise car rental spots are on your way out of the station parking lot on the right

Just enough time to hit the usually clean bathrooms and grab a to go meal that's better than what is available in the cafe car .

The train to NYP Station departs out of Gate C and a line will form in anticipation. Save yourself the wait-in-line by using Gate D to board the departing train to NYP Station.

Sit to the right of you are heading to points south (eg NYC) from Albany for some excellent views of our might Hudson River

White business men are the meanest and have no hearts. They push asian women with injuries just to get a good seat. Is it worth it? Do you have wives? Is this how you treat them?

Hilton Albany offers a free shuttle service if you have reservations . Just give them a call when your train arrives.

The ambiance of the parking garage is similar to that of the Enchanted Tiki Room.

Ask for the price of the taxi before leaving the terminal, paid more for a 7 minute ride in Albany, than from JFK to manhattan

Visitor will be traveling from Albany to NYC Sunday noon; are reservations needed?

Surprised to see the parking lot is not clean , trudging through snow to get to the car!

Probably the cleanest train station I've been to.

Watch out for the random TSA checkpoint. You'll be delayed about 5 min and potentially miss your train when you don't allocate time for it.
