Great location and nice place. We had to wait until 3.15pm before our room was ready when then said 1pm. But really nice staff . Room really spacious and clean .
What a lovely restaurant with great food right in Oxford Castle . Highly recommended and with super service. It’s a formal gaol so you can also eat in the ‘cells’, beautifully done and cozy .

Situated in Oxford Castle , Malmaison has good food and a lovely variety, included a comprehensive gluten free menu . Cosy and set in an old prison , it is a lovely place to eat.
This is an atmospheric restaurant located in the converted cells of Oxford’s old prison in the heart of the historic Oxford Castle site. The menu changes seasonally and the food is sourced locally.
Fantastic building, very cleverly designed, retaining some of the features of the old prison . Rooms very stylish but lighting very dim. Disappointed that the barman had never heard of a Moscow Mule .
Rooms only have one available electric outlet in the wall. Ask the front desk for a power strip surge protector. Problem solved ;)
Bar is downstairs. London Meantime Pale Ale very nice, albeit served by the schooner (2/3 pint)
Good clean hotel . Polite staff , and great great food.
Head upstairs to the bar . No need to be a guest, and the cocktails , while on the pricey side, are very much worth the money.
