Some of the better classic food I've had in the Des Moines area. My battered cod had a lemon flavor to it, the breaded tenderloin was fabulous. The soundtrack took me right back to eighth grade.
Had a wonderful Sunday dinner of roast chicken , dressing , mashed potatoes with gravy , green beans , whole wheat rolls and apple crisp to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday. Was delicious.

What started off promising ended with disappointing food and a waitress that acted like every question we asked (pie a la mode) was in a foreign language, only to not fulfill any of our requests.
