The Gold Coast of New Zealand. Don't get trapped just at main beach though. Tay street surf and lots of other cool sections that are much less crowded . Make sure you go for a walk up the Mount itself

Great beach , lovely environment, surf was good while we were there, possibly a bit wild for just a swim

Stay on the main beach to people watch and swim between the flags , head away from the Mount, past the island for a quieter beach
