They hold a neat little arts festival here. Just happened last week with lots of booths from artists offering everything from handmade jewelry , paintings , photography , driftwood lamps and decor, etc
A lot of fun with the kids! Prices are affordable (we had a family of 4 & it was under $40). Workers are friendly and your tickets are good for two days!!
It offers a variety of activities, including building a dug-out canoe , working a fish trap, planting and harvesting crops. The art gallery , fossil pit, museum store, and boardwalks are free.
Touring the Elizabeth II is a must! Make sure you go around 12:00 so you can hear them fire the ship's gun!
Interactive for the kids, really kept them engaged. Much better that we expected
The settlement life demonstration and Elizabeth II ship
Activities planned in the spring, summer and early fall. On the beautiful Manteo Waterfront .
The movie was long but good. Need to watch it.

If you want to get good lighting for pictures of the front of the lighthouse with friends and family, best to wait for late afternoon. Mornings you're staring into sun. - The Outer Banks page
