We reached this place at 6am on bike & It was really awesome place to be there at that time. If you are in Bangalore must go early morning. This will be memorable visit.

Wonderful place. Each visit has a different experience and weather. Remember to take jackets/sweaters with you and try to avoid Sundays as it's insanely crowded

Try n pack up some food n snacks from the base and come up, none of the places r worth it on top, staying at the Pinetop is a great idea, but do book in advance.

The view ofcourse is breathtaking and then the ancient marvels that remind one of the mughal and hindu architecture . Roads though are not maintained by the officials.

The view is breathtaking.. sunset should also is be worth the visit.m maintainence is a concern. Architecture is truly fabulous and inspiring.

Sun rise time 05:45 should be there on check point or 07:00am best time for misty weather

A nice drive/ride on the Airport road . Although, off late it has become a place for couples to hangout or for drunkards who make a lot of noise

If you reach before 6 am..the check post feels like a drag, carry enough entertainment, snacks and cigies.

On the way, there is a Driver's Cafe . You can smoke hookah there. It's awesome :)

There is a checkpost, 5kms before the entrance, which opens only at 6AM. No matter how early you reach there.

On the way back, treat urself wit some good deal of grapes with the roadside vendors .. They are indeed good ..

If you are cycling up the road , share a chocolate bar or a snack with the monkeys. :-)

Need to be there at 6am... and better if you have a SLR or any other high definition camera ..

Nothing much to expect from here except the ride with about 30 curves. 5-6 steep hair pin bends.

if on a vehicle... make sure the tank is full
