Amazing national park . Really tells the story of the battle and then the surrender of the southern army. Does a great job of explaining the aftermath and ending of the war. Worth a visit for all.
Step foot in the place where the Civil War ended, a must do if in the area. Make it a point to watch the film , very much worth it.
If it's summer and you have children, consider combining this visit with a trip to Holliday Lake State Park , which is right down the road a tad further. History + Splashing In A Lake = Great Trip!
