Star-Spangled Site: This museum has artifacts from one of the gunboats of the Chesapeake Flotilla, which was in the battles of St Leonard Creek, June 8-10 and June 26 in 1814.
Patuxent River Appreciation Day is a lot of fun--you can get fossils identified by experts (no charge) and get free boat rides .

Home to many firsts, St. Mary’s city, is most notably known for being the first city in Maryland. Make sure to check out the gardens and ask a local what a “ghost building” is! - Maryland
My favorites are the mussels, drunken clams and the crab pretzel. The Sunset is perfect for picture taking! - Trista Cook
