The best place to see the summer fields of lupines is around Lake Tekapo in the South Island . Just be careful and pull completely off the road or in a designated pull-off area before taking photos. Read more

A great place for some souvenir photographs . Gets a little too chilly if it's windy. Make sure you got your jackets and gloves packed.

Magnificent view . Try to go up Mt John. It's a really nice view from there and you can go up with your car if you don't have much time ($5/car)

The old shepherd church is a great spot for night photographs with the amazing sky here.
