Present cathedral dates from 1251 however there was a church on the site much earlier. Has an impressive round tower in the churchyard.
Also known as Kilkenny Cathedral , beckons visitors with its dominating view over the city . Constructed circa 1200 but was originally established by the patron saint of Kilkenny in the 6th century.
