Montenvers 74400 Chamonix France
A glacier in the middle of Europe! I was expecting white or blue ice but the "Mer" is of course covered with soil to a large extent. An amazing experience anyhow and definitely worth a visit:-)
You can get to the glacier by train from Chamonix. The ticket costs around 30€ and includes access to ice cave (along with cable car to it) and museums . The views are absolutely stunning!
Scenic views are amazing, the glacier "mer de glace " is unique (you'll need warm stuff to go there).
Wonderful hike down the ice grotto, amazing being inside a glacier , and awesome views . Take the train here from Chamonix.
You can do ice-tracking, skying, snow boarding or just a sightseeing enjoying. I loved it!
I came in the summer waiting to see something, obviously there was only dirty instead of a sea of ice. But the place is very nice, worth visiting nonetheless
The ice cave is not very big,but you should take a long journy to go there, about 15~20 minutes ,and a lot of upstairs and downstaires..
One of best from Chamonix!!
Glacier cave
Fantastic.. go there
Oooolala!!
Voy mucho y siempre sorprende
Depende mt do clima para poder visitar as cavernas
The most amazing experience I have ever had. The views are definitely breathtaking. Don't forget your camera, wearing warm clothes and drinking hot chocolate in the top???? - Shahad albakri
Breathtaking view .. Free of charge .. A must to visit when in Chamonix !! - Nm
From the telepherique’s ground station, it’s another 500 steps down to the cave. What’s worse: from the cave it’s 500 steps up to reach the telepherique again. - Robin Bertels
