Dal Lake is beautiful attraction of Srinagar that covers about 13 sq km featuring Houseboats and shikaras . There is a floating vegetable market on Dal Lake and also a floating post office .
Good experience.... And the lifestyle of the people leaving here is unbelievable.... They live on the water making their life here easy.... There are movable fields also!!!!!!
The lake house was a lovely surprise , Sea hawk boat house interior and hospitality was warm and had delicious home cooked meals for the guest .
Reminds me my teen age when I used to date 6 girl friends at a time & used to roam on banks of Dal lake .Once 1 of GF told me if u love me throw ur glares in to lake & I immediately threw it in lake

Never book a houseboat via the union... They are crooks. Go directly and u can have a luxury house boat at around 2k for a single room including all amenities
Spectacular views . All the houseboats are essentially the same so don't pay extra.

It's humongous and beautiful do try the shikara tours a must atleast 2 hours is enough
