While you should venture out and check out the Lake Placid area, I wouldn't blame you if you stayed here. They have great activities, a game room , s'mores , a pool, and a cool whiskey & cigar lounge !
Visit the Canoe Club - exceptional service , great swimming beach for kids & adults, Stand-Up Paddleboards, kayaks & canoes , food & bev, and of course boat tours in the Hacker, ski nautique, & pontoon.
By far the nicest and friendliest resort in lake placid. Great food, fire places everywhere, FREE skating , hiking , snowshoes, bowling , game room , movie theater and VALET! Bring friends split a suite!
Absolutely amazing place. Stayed here for a wedding. Great rooms, a lot of on site things to do and a great relaxing location! Highly recommended!
Check out the game room on the bottom floor -- bowling , shuffle board , ping pong and billiards . Also a movie theatre .
WONDERFUL HOTEL !!!! My only complaint is that the pool, ice cream parlor , and game room close by 10, even on weekends! Otherwise AMAZING hotel !
If you're after a truly peaceful retreat, stay during their "quiet time" (mid March to start of April) - you'll have the resort mostly to yourself!
Amazing hotel ! Wood everywhere, very beautiful.
For a good restaurant option off the property, check out Liquids & Solids on Main Street.
The place is beautiful but the food and restaurant was horrible. Our server was slow when we could find her. It wasn't crowded for a holiday weekend. Now we know why lake placid was crowded .
You know you're a urbanite when you get excited about fireplaces & laundry machines in the room!
The food is great, the atmosphere is peaceful . Great place to get married ;-)
Awesome place always a great time...so much to do.
In winter, head to the on-site yurt for complimentary snow shoes for exploring the property's trails . Read more

Absolute luxury but also cozyness.
Beautiful Lodge . Spa experience: 50 minute couples massage was okay. 2 therapists not in sync. Paid 135 each for 50 minutes okay, fine. Paid 55 dollars for 15 min add on. Maybe got 5 min. Won't go bac
Make sure to get some s'mores around the camp fire!
Outdoor hot tub in single digit temps felt so nice
