Stayed @ Marriott Heidelberg in 2012. Close to the railway Station but too far away to the origin Heidelberg. The Lounge in the 3rd floor is cool. You can watch People rowing on the Neckar :-)
Even though the Executive Floor and Lounge are on 3rd floor, the newly renovated rooms are on 4th floor. They are way better than rooms on floor 1-3
Somewhat of a far walk from many of the attractions in Heidelberg. It would be best to take a taxi . About a couple minute taxi ride from the train station .
Quite far but still in walking distance to attractions .

An old Marriot. At the 3rd floor "executive lounge " where you can eat a bit and drink for free. Downstairs empty gym and a little cold pool :)
Nice hotel , very comfy bed (as usual with Marriott) but it would benefit from some refurbishing.
The ribeye at the Grill 16 restaurant is the best steak I've had in Germany...

Breakfast buffet is excellent
I agree about the beautiful view out of the executive lounge ... But everything else is far below their usual lounge standards ... The food choice is poor and the breakfast is tasteless - 2/10

Don't go for any of the food in the bar . It's generally dry and tasteless.

Self brewed beers, the dark one is tough though. Regional food of very good quality, most stuff self made, no industrial food. You have to try the mousse au chocolate - it's a dream! - Sascha R
