We had the king suite for 5 days and it was a great room! Service was good and the breakfast was excellent. Wifi is great. Code is pacific - no caps. Great price.
The parking garage is extremely small, you're likely to get a scratch or dent. Park before 10pm or you'll have to park on the street.
They are converting to a La Quinta and there is a lot of construction going on right now. I got one of the newly renovated rooms ... Very nice! Don't let construction scare you away...

Late 2011 changed to La Quinta. Service was excellent and room was updated. Very nice clean hotel for the price and brand!

This is a rather cozy little place. Cheap and cozy .
Decent quality, great location. 5 minutes from Mission Beach , 10 minutes from San Diego city center. If you want a great pool or other amenities go somewhere else. Average at best.
They're remodeling right now.... Be careful but the rooms are nice. Very comfy beds !
Pretty sure inmates at Pelican Bay have bigger rooms than these....

San Diego has the best beaches!!! I highly recommend PB for it’s laid back young vibe. They also have some really cool surf shops and restaurants on the boardwalk too. - Chuck Bronson
