หอศิลป์ ก่อตั้ง พ.ศ. 2538 ประกอบด้วยอาคาร 2 หลัง อาคารด้านหน้าในอดีตเป็นท้องพระโรงวังท่าพระ อาคารด้านหลังสร้างใหม่กว่า อดีตเป็นตำหนักกลาง-ตึกนอก วัง ท่าพระ ปัจจุบันเป็นส่วนจัดแสดงนิทรรศการศิลปะร่วมสมัย
ที่จัดแสดงผลงานศิลป์ ของมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ผลงานน้อยไปหน่อย แต่มีการจัดงานตลอด

ตั้งอยู่ริมถนนหน้าพระลานด้านทิศตะวันตก ร.1 อัญเชิญพระศรีศากยมุนี จากวัดมหาธาตุ สุโขทัย มาประดิษฐานที่วัดสุทัศฯ โดยอัญเชิญขึ้นที่ท่าน้ำแห่งนี้ จึงเรียกว่า “ท่าพระ” วังนี้จึงมีชื่อเรียก “วังท่าพระ” - : P
